Hi, my name is Sidsel and I am the illustrator behind Art By Brandt.

It all started with a fascination of Equine and Canine anatomy and biomechanics.

In the beginning it was just simple notebook drawings, small sketches and biomechanical doodles that were made in order to understand, how all muscles work together to move the skeleton, bend the joints and create a motion.

​

Over time the doodle sketching turned into detailed drawings and today the portfolio includes many other types of illustrations, paintings and digital work besides anatomy.

​

I enjoy to draw a variety of things but I keep coming back to the animals.

I think they have so many hidden stories to offer and they can express a delightful sense of humor. For that reason, they often find their way to my canvas.
